Electrical Potting Compounds: Silicone, Epoxy, PU | Ameba AG

Electrical Potting Compounds

Potting compounds based on silicone, epoxy resin and polyurethane are increasingly used in the electronics industry. They are used to pot or encapsulate electrical and electronic components, protecting them against chemical substances and environmental influences such as moisture, dust, dirt or solvents. As filling or covering compounds, potting compounds also provide effective protection against mechanical stress.

Silicone potting compounds from WACKER

Whether in automotive electronics, consumer and communication electronics or semiconductor electronics: thanks to their diverse and outstanding property profile, WACKER silicones have made a name for themselves in every sector of the electronics industry. They are unbeatable in terms of temperature resistance, being suitable for use from –50 °C to +200 °C. The product lines used here are SEMICOSIL®, ELASTOSIL® and WACKER SilGel. -> To the WACKER silicone potting compounds.

Epoxy potting compounds

Epoxies are versatile and durable potting compounds. They offer high adhesion and chemical resistance and are suitable for bonding, potting and encapsulating. We offer a wide range of casting materials, from extremely flexible to highly rigid, that are thermally and/or electrically conductive and flame-retardant. -> To the epoxy potting compounds.

Polyurethane potting compounds

Polyurethanes are an attractive alternative to silicones for applications without high temperatures. As potting compounds, for example for electronic packaging, they protect stress-sensitive electronic devices and act as a moisture barrier. Our urethane products, from soft gels to semi-rigid casting materials, are designed for a wide variety of products. -> To the polyurethane potting compounds.
